Confederate Monument covered in graffiti

Vandals hit the Confederate Monument in downtown Augusta Sunday night, spraying the display with anti-white messages.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — Vandals hit the Confederate Monument in downtown Augusta Sunday night, covering the display with racist messages.

Messages including “I hate whites” were written in black spray paint

The monument is on Broad Street between 7th and 8th streets. It was installed in 1878 by the Ladies Memorial Association to honor soldiers who died fighting for the Confederacy in the Civil War.

  • We can only expect more of this. If the vandal is not armed with a paint can he is sitting at a desk. At the Texas State Capitol THEY used the growth of a tree to hide the fine memorial that clearly explains the war and the cost of that war.

At the University of Texas in Austin, the SUITS are most likely to remove Lee and Davis’s statues in the main mall area.

That war is far from being over.
