The Southern Poverty Law Center: A National Policy Institute Staff Report
NPI Study: Advocate for the downtrodden or lucrative racket? You decide.

Morris Dees’ Southern Poverty Law Center is one of the most richly endowed non-profit organizations in the country. It is sitting on a cash “war chest” in excess of $120 million (yes, really $120,000,000.00), and owns and is domiciled in a swank high-rise in Montgomery, Alabama known to locals as the “poverty palace.” Advocate for the downtrodden or lucrative racket? You decide.
A two-part series.
