Gov. Pat Quinn on Friday called “unfortunate” a suggestion by a group of African-American aldermen that black voters may withhold support for politicians critical of beleaguered U.S. Sen. Roland Burris, saying he feared the return of a racial divide in the Democratic Party.

Quinn’s reaction came a day after several Chicago aldermen defended Burris, saying he has not been accused of any wrongdoing, and issued a warning.

“I would just suggest to those people who seek to run in the wards of the city of Chicago where there are people of color living that they should tone it down because some of us are taking notes,” said Ald. Freddrenna Lyle (6th). “Those people will run at their peril.”

Burris was appointed to the seat by Rod Blagojevich after the former governor’s December arrest on federal corruption charges for, among other things, allegedly trying to sell the appointment. Several lawmakers, including Quinn and U.S. Sen. Richard Durbin, have called on Burris to resign after more revelations about Burris’ attempts to raise money for Blagojevich while lobbying his inner circle.

In my previous column, I attempted to analyze two important sex differences in political behavior: Women’s tendency to be attracted to wealthy, powerful men, and women’s relatively greater attraction to close relationships, empathy, and nurturance. These differences make women less likely to be attracted to white racialist movements given the current political context.

But these differences are not the main cause of our malaise. A correspondent writing to me about my last column said that I should ask why white men are such wimps that they are basically lying down and allowing themselves to be displaced.

It’s a good question. How could a race of people that conquered the world suddenly lose confidence and voluntarily cede power? What explains the culture of Western suicide?

White men have to look in the mirror when thinking about our ongoing dispossession. After all, even though there is a preponderance of men in societies of people who explicitly advocate the interests of European-Americans, these men represent a miniscule percentage of the European-American male population. One such society, the Charles Martel Society, is named for Charles Martel, a man who stood up for his people by leading an army against invading Muslims. This is what one should expect from men. But such men — and people willing to follow such a man into battle to preserve their people and culture — are vanishingly rare among contemporary Europeans, whether in Europe or the European Diaspora.

Consider again the evolutionary theory of sex. In my last column, I sketched out how it explains the general contours of female behavior. Here I draw out the implications for male behavior. Females are the sex with a high investment in reproduction — pregnancy, lactation, and child care. Since the act of reproduction costs little for men, a general rule of nature is that males must compete with other males for access to females. This results in the prediction that males will be more aggressive than females and that the main targets of their aggression will be other males.

Four food stores were put on fire during the night and three of them are now totally destroyed. Around 50 fire-fighters still struggle over control over the fires that risk spreading to nearby malls.

The first alarm came a quarter over midnight. Then the food store Willys close to the freeway E4 in Södertälje, 30 km west of Stockholm, was on fire. Barely 20 minutes later came another alarm that also ICA Supermarket close by was on fire.

At ten minutes to four AM a third fire alarm was set, this time at the Tempo food store in Saltskog, southern Södertälje. And this morning, at half past six AM, the personnel at another Willys store in southern Södertälje discovered a fire that they however were able to put out by themselves.

During the night the emergency service in Södertälje had to call for help from the fire departments in Stockholm, Nyköping and Uppsala.

The police quickly labelled the fires to be the work of arsonists. During the midmorning roadblocks was set up and the police also used helicopters in search for possible culprits.

There have earlier been threats against the food stores in Södertälje and last year was there fires in two food stores in the city.

“Octomom” Nadya Suleman, whose father is an Iraqi immigrant, received in vitro fertilization and delivered octuplets. Professors of ethics and fertility experts buzz about the negative health consequences for the children and there are many. But what about the social and economic costs of 14 children, all under the age of seven, who must be supported by an unmarried woman?

Even raising one child alone is challenging—and one of Ms Suleman’s older children is autistic. The public, monetary outlays will be immense, but the human costs will also be immense.

Right from the start, babies of single mothers are at a disadvantage. “Fetal and Perinatal Mortality, United States, 2005” from the Center for Disease Control reads:

“In 2005, 49% of fetal deaths were to unmarried women, as compared with 37% of live births. . . .Marital status may be a marker for the presence or absence of social, emotional, and financial resources.”

Poor, fatherless children are less likely to receive proper nutrition, health care and cognitive stimulation. The boys are more likely to commit serious crimes than their peers with a male presence in their lives. The daughters of unmarried women are more likely to be unwed mothers themselves. Archives of literature exist on this topic.

But unfortunately Ms Suleman is just one of the growing numbers of unmarried mothers—and the rising tide of uneducated, Third-World immigrants is a leading cause.

Moscow — Paying mothers for babies has been an effective measure in easing Russia’s demographic crisis, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said Thursday.

“There has been a positive effect,” Putin told an audience of European health and social policy officials, noting that 1.7 million babies were born in Russia in 2008, a seven percent increase from the year before. “This was partly the result of measures to stimulate the birth rate that were undertaken in recent years, such as substantial increases in family benefits and the introduction of special payments for women who give birth to two or more children.”

Speaking at a conference organised by the Council of Europe, Putin also noted that “practically all the countries of Europe are dealing with demographic problems.”

As president, Putin vowed to fight the decline in Russia’s population and signed a law that grants mothers 250,000 rubles (7,000 dollars or 5,500 euros) for having a second child.

Russia’s population has fallen from about 149 million in 1992 to 142 million today, raising alarm about the country’s future.

The attempted assassination of a South Carolina deputy sheriff was a gang initiation carried out by three illegal immigrants including a 15-year-old boy who was supposed to “kill a cop” in order to be admitted as a member, according to a confidential Department of Homeland Security advisory.

Lexington County, S.C., Deputy Sheriff Ted Xanthakis and his K-9 police dog, Arcos, were attacked by the three illegals armed with a 12-gauge shotgun during a Feb. 8 incident in West Columbia, S.C., shortly after 3 a.m. The deputy and his dog survived.

Two of the men were identified in a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) report as members of the Surenos gang, or SUR-13, a collection of Mexican-American street gangs with origins in the oldest barrios of Southern California.

Hundreds of SUR-13 gangs operate in California and have spread to many other parts of the country. The paramilitary organization has been described by federal law enforcement agencies as actively involved in illegal-immigrant and drug smuggling.

Britain is being colonised by the Third World, with at least twenty percent of the resident population either born overseas or descendants of foreign-born parents.

The vast majority of these foreign-born residents are of Third World extraction.

According to figures just released by the Office for National Statistics, at least eleven percent of all people living in Britain today were born overseas. This figure does not include their second or third generation children.

If these descendants of foreign-born residents are included, the total non-indigenous British population is easily double the official figure and well in excess of twenty percent.

The figures show that more than one in every eight people in England was born abroad. In the middle of last year there were 6,486,000 people in Britain who were born abroad, with just over six million of them in England.

It shouldn’t be long before ACORN recruits “Octomom” Nadya Suleman to serve as the radical left-wing group’s foreclosure poster child. The jobless, unmarried mother of 14 faces eviction from her home in two weeks. Suleman’s mother, who owns the residence, hasn’t sent a mortgage check in 10 months and owes $23,000 in back payments. Nonetheless, the plastic surgery-enhanced, welfare-dependent Octomom was photographed this week at a video store splurging on games for her brood.

With her warped financial priorities, Suleman fits right in with the militant moochers at the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. As I reported last week, ACORN launched a lawless “civil disobedience” campaign across the country to demand their housing entitlement rights. With this well-oiled propaganda campaign buoying his efforts, President Obama used his State of the Nation address last night to advance his push for a massive government home foreclosure plan that will help “responsible homeowners avoid foreclosure.”

But a closer look at ACORN’s sob stories shows that the prototypical foreclosure “victims” don’t deserve an ounce of sympathy—or a cent of our money.

Earlier this week, ACORN activists broke into a foreclosed home in Baltimore. With a mob cheering and camera crew taping, Baltimore ACORN leader Louis Beverly busted a padlock and jimmied the door open at 315 South Ellwood Ave. The home once belonged to restaurant worker Donna Hanks, who assailed her evil bank for raising her mortgage by $300 and leaving her on the street. “This is our house now,” Beverly declared with Hanks by his side at the break-in.

More than 400 students from universities across the Washington metropolitan area converged at American University Tuesday night in a peaceful protest, waving signs festooned with a simple message written and occasionally shouted in more than five different languages: “America is multicultural.”

Students from this university, American, George Washington and Georgetown sat in forced silence at American University last night, as American University police officers encircled the room, to oppose former Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo’s (R) stand against immigration and America’s “cult of diversity.”

The trip was organized by the Latino Student Union’s advocacy committee, though other students attended. They said they heard about the protest via an announcement sent out by the D.C. Latino Student Partnership, an umbrella organization that organizes and increases communication between Latino groups in the area.

Tancredo was invited to speak at American University by the newly established national organization Youth for Western Civilization—a national right-wing organization that aims to reverse policies perceived as being anti-American—which YWC President Kevin DeAnna said will likely attempt to establish a chapter at this university in the near future.

“We need to announce ourselves as a force,” DeAnna said. “[The turnout] shows that people have been waiting for this kind of a message: that people of the West should get off of their knees.”

Though Tancredo denied being prejudiced against any group, students characterized much of the former congressman’s ideologies as being “ignorant” and “racist.”

a discredit to our national confidence that each time some impolite thought—perceived or otherwise—is uttered, sketched, or typed, a faction of professionally offended Americans engages in a collective hypersensitivity meltdown.

It has been a long-standing custom for opponents to shut down debate by tagging adversaries with some dreadful labels. No one wants to be called a racist, a Commie, or a neocon. It’s gotten to the point that the gatekeepers of the news walk so tepidly on the path of least resistance a journalist can’t even get a dirty joke in the newspaper.

Attorney General Eric Holder recently claimed that we, as a nation, have been cowards on the topic of race. And maybe he’s right. Some Americans are cowards. Other Americans—the ones in the media—worry that Al Sharpton might show up in their doorways and shake down their kids for allowance money.
