Capitalism is so shortsighted that it can't even see the need for consumers.Bailing out the auto sector won't do a damn thing since there are millions of surplus new cars or a shortage of consumers who can afford them.I have only had cars, 18 year old beaters for 3 years of my adult life and I couldn't really afford one.Job security these days is only measured in weeks for most workers.I think cars should be banned from our cities in favour of better and more accessible public transit, which reduces congestion, pollution and noise.By living collectively and cooperatively, we could have a better, more livable urban environment. The current economic crisis is so stressful that I wonder if the only way out is for us to all kill ourselves, certainly our planet would benefit. Can we live without boom and bust, rich and poor?Too much greed and competition are ultimately destructive.

The idiocy rampant throughout both this post and the resulting comment is alarming. Paranoia about socialism has prompted both of you to abandon reason and shelter yourselves in the house of ignorance. Liberalism and Marxism are not synonymous. You have both lost rationality and are now nothing more that terrified children. You do not understand the viewpoints of the "other" and have retreated intellectually into a Bashing campaign. The failure here is evident.

Why are the politically correct liberal politicians liberal (aka Marxist) being allowed to destroy our country? And why is the U.S. Supreme Court and other Federal Judges being allowed to be puppets of the politically correct liberal politicians and violate the U.S. Constitution by changing and creating laws, when the only ones with that right are the ones elected by the people for the people? Our countries heritage, culture and the laws of our Founding Fathers that have been around for over 225+ years are now being done away with and these puppet Federal judges claim they violate the U.S. Constitution, when it in fact these Federal Judges whose violating the U.S. Constitution.

This land, America, has been a Christian, English speaking, family value and the majority rules land since Jamestown, VA was first settled in 1607, almost 402 years. Now they are destroying the economy, another Marxist move of many moves made by the politically correct liberal politicans (aka Marxist).

What worries myself and many others, why has the even the Republicans when in power let the U.S. Supreme Court and other Federal Judges work for the Marxist? Thirty thousand can vote in a city election to approve or disapprove on an issue and if twenty nine thousand, five hundred are in favor of the issue and five hundred are against the issue, then some Federal Judge comes along and voids the vote and rules in favor of the five hundred over the twenty-nine thousand, five hundred voters.

Myself and others have written our two U.S. Senators and our Congressman about some of these issues, all three Republican and received no replys. Well, our Congressman wouldn't help and he lost the primary and his replacement beat the liberal on Nov. 4th.

We're also losing our country because many Americans base their votes on straight party politics, if he's cute or promises something for nothing (Sounds a wee bit Marxist).

Thank you for the chance to get this off of my chest, ofcourse I've lost all my faith in the American people after the Nov. 4th election. And it appears becoming 100% disabled in combat and my friends and thousands of others all died in vain for the U.S.and most of it's citizens.

Sincerely,

Capt. L. McR. Hawkins, Ret.
