The Utter Normality Of Ethnonationalism—Except For Whites

Biological realities will not simply disappear, no matter how fervently social scientists and other political and cultural elites wish they would

Jerry Z. Muller’s Foreign Affairs article, Us and Them: The Enduring Power of Ethnic Nationalism (March/April, 2008), is a grim and timely reminder of the power of ethnicity in human affairs. It has explosive implications for the future of the United States and the West.

Muller demonstrates that, over the last 150 years or so, the general trend in Europe and elsewhere has been has been toward the creation of ethnically-based states—“ethnostates”. This trend did not end with the close of World War II. In Europe, the war was followed by a forced resettlement of peoples—mainly Germans—to create ethnically homogeneous states. Indeed, the high point of ethnic homogenization in Europe was in the two generations in the immediate aftermath of World War II.

Muller writes:

“As a result of this massive process of ethnic unmixing, the ethnonationalist ideal was largely realized: for the most part, each nation in Europe had its own state, and each state was made up almost exclusively of a single ethnic nationality. During the Cold War, the few exceptions to this rule included Czechoslovakia, the Soviet Union, and Yugoslavia. But these countries’ subsequent fate only demonstrated the ongoing vitality of ethnonationalism.”

This point is crucial. While the recent spreading of the European Union imperium has given rise to a great deal of “post-nation” rhetoric, it has in fact been accompanied by an astonishing multiplication of ethnostates, split out of Yugoslavia and the former USSR — not to mention, of course, the Czech/Slovak division

Prepare for a shock BNP victory

Forget Ken vs Boris - the real action is on the far Right

I cannot claim to have been to Redwell in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, although on paper it would seem a pretty pleasant place, rather more prosperous than average. I have been through Yapton, in Arun, West Sussex, and that is distinctly desirable territory. I think I have cut across Lawford and New Bilton, in Warwickshire, too and while it was not quite the Cotswolds it was hardly a centre of deprivation or tense race relations either.

All of which makes a recent pattern in local council by-elections more unexpected. A by-election was held in Redwell West last Thursday. The Conservatives easily retained the seat but there in second place, eight votes ahead of Labour and with four times the strength of the Liberal Democrats was the British National Party candidate. At Yapton, seven days beforehand, the BNP had come third, a mere seven votes behind the Liberal Democrats, and with almost a fifth of the vote. A fortnight earlier Lawford and New Bilton had witnessed a cracking contest with Labour hanging on by a single vote over the Tories and with the BNP securely third on 15 per cent, well ahead of Nick Clegg’s contender.

Judge Orders Whites Out Of Atlanta Court

The judge said the majority of people who appear before him accused of crimes such as murder, rape and robbery are black

ATLANTA — Judge Marvin Arrington insists he’s not a racist; despite ordering white lawyers out of his courtroom on Thursday.

The Fulton County Superior Court judge said he was just fed up seeing a parade of young black defendants in his courtroom.

“I came out and saw the defendants, about 99.9 percent Afro-Americans, and some point time I excused some of the lawyers, most of them white, and said to the young people in here ‘What in the world are you doing with your lives,’” he told WSB-TV Channel 2 reporter JaQuitta Williams.

Migration has brought ‘zero’ economic benefit

"These migrants are likely to be displacing, and reducing the incentive on employers to recruit and train low-skilled, indigenous workers.''

Ten years of record immigration to Britain has produced virtually no economic benefits for the country, a parliamentary inquiry has found.

A House of Lords committee, which is due to report next Tuesday, will call into question Government claims that foreign workers add £6 billion each year to the wealth of the nation.

It is expected to say this must be balanced against the increase in population and their use of local services such as health and education, resulting in little benefit per head of the population.

“Our overall conclusion is that the economic benefits of net immigration to the resident population are small and close to zero in the long run,” the report will say.

The findings of the Lords economics committee threaten to demolish the key argument made by ministers to justify the highest levels of immigration in the country’s history.

Memo From Mexico,

Mexican Billionaires Rake In The Cash While Middle Class Americans Are Called Racists

Forbes magazine has just published its Annual Billionaires List. The 2008 Billionaire List has 1062 entries—and includes no less than ten (10) Mexican billionaires. Indeed, in second place worldwide is Mexico’s Carlos Slim, worth $60 billion.

Two years ago, I wrote a VDARE.COM article about the Mexican magnates on the 2006 billionaires list, which you can read here . It was followed up by an article about Mexican magnates investing in the United States.

Why is the presence of Mexican billionaires relevant to the U.S. National Question, the subject of the VDARE.COM?

It wouldn’t be, if Americans weren’t constantly lectured by the media and our leaders to open the border to Mexican immigrants. White middle class Americans are special targets of such propaganda. They are led to believe they are horrible racists if they don’t want their neighborhoods overrun with legal and illegal aliens from Mexico.

‘You only care about Africa’

HOME TRUTHS: Stuart Townsend blasts Bono over star’s failure to back Save Tara campaign

RELATIONS between two of Ireland’s most famous men are set to turn frosty after actor Stuart Townsend lashed out at U2 frontman Bono.

The Irish actor slammed the world-famous singer for failing to step up and help in the fight to save the Hill of Tara.

And to add insult to injury he went on to claim that the humanitarian was more interested in helping those overseas that in getting involved in campaigns in his native Ireland.

“I don’t know why Bono hasn’t gotten involved so far. Maybe it’s because his focus is on Africa and heritage isn’t his thing,” the actor claimed.

Townsend made the remarks while enjoying a romantic weekend in Paris with his partner Charlize Theron (32).

The actor himself has long been involved in the campaign to save the ancient spot and halt construction of the controversial motorway.

Muslim leader accuses police of being ‘over cautious’ in stopping Asian gangs pimping white girls

I am the only Muslim leader in the UK that speaks up against this sort of thing and I do it because these teenage girls are somebody's sisters and they are somebody's daughters. I have got two daughters and I wouldn't want that to happen to my daughters

A muslim leader has accused the police of failing to tackle Asian gangs suspected of prostituting young white girls.

Officers are accused of being “over cautious” when investigating Muslim criminals because they fear being branded racist.

Last night Mohammed Shafiq, director of the Ramadhan Foundation, said the police were differentiating between criminals on the basis of race.

He claimed, driven by fear of race riots in places like Blackburn and Oldham, officers were “overtly sensitive” and not clamping down on the sordid practice.

His controversial comments in this week’s Panorama reignite a massively controversial issue which exploded over a Channel 4 documentary in 2004.

That programme which claimed Asian men in Bradford were grooming under age white girls for prostitution was pulled from C4’s schedules.

This was because police claimed at the time that it could provoke racial violence during the local election campaign.

Radical shift

Fresh elections in Serbia could favour the nationalists

Serbia’s governing parties, split on the question of how to deal with the EU in the wake of Western recognition of Kosovo’s independence, have agreed to hold a pre-term election in May. This appears to spell the end of the anti-Milosevic coalition, which opposed radical nationalists. The fault-line now is between parties putting Kosovo first and those putting the EU first. Although the latter won the presidential contest, they are unlikely to win a majority in the parliamentary poll. The hardline Serbian Radical Party looks closer than ever to gaining power.

The end of the line
Serbia’s prime minister, Vojislav Kostunica, the leader of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), on March 8th announced that irreconcilable differences between the DSS and its pro-EU coalition partners, the Democratic Party (DS) and G17 Plus, necessitated an early election. The leaders of the other parties quickly agreed with the assessment. It seems likely that President Boris Tadic, the DS leader, will agree to dissolve parliament, setting the stage for a pre-term general election in May, most likely in tandem with municipal elections scheduled for May 11th.

Laredo Trucks Drivers, Others Charged in Massive Human Smuggling Scheme

Fiscal year 2008 so far has been unusually busy, especially where truck drivers are involved

They are believed to have smuggled hundreds of illegal immigrants into the United States but now, 41 truck drivers, guides, brokers, recruiters and smuggling leaders are facing criminal charges.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) special agents started the investigation in Laredo but made the arrests across several American cities over the last seven weeks.

Investigators said the group used truck drivers to smuggle at least 376 illegal immigrants from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras into the United States.

Most of the immigrants were discovered tractor trailers and attempting to pass through different checkpoints in and around Laredo.

Sadly, CDC study overlooked Hispanic women

And the 20 million Latinas -- just those counted by the U.S. Census' last tally in July 2006, that is -- well, they just don't exist. At least not in this "nationally representative study."

Behold the spectacle of the incredible invisible Hispanic woman. She and her sisters walk among us, over 20 million strong, young and old, U.S.-born and immigrant, legal and illegal, yet undetectable to the mainstream eye.

This month we heard about the “Hidden Epidemic” — a major public-health crisis affecting one in every four teen-age girls — when the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a study estimating 3.2 million young women between the ages of 14 and 19 are infected with the human papilloma virus, chlamydia, herpes simplex virus and/or trichomoniasis.

Media accounts made it clear these shocking numbers, gleaned from 838 randomly chosen study participants, were even worse for black women. A stunning 48 percent of those young women were infected with one or more STDs, compared to 20 percent of white women.
