The business of doing business in Green Bay is changing this weekend because of a new ordinance that would let the city yank the operating licenses of employers who knowingly hire undocumented workers.

Proving that immigration reform is not simply a matter of congressional gridlock and talk-radio shouting, Wisconsin’s unofficial football capital added its name this week to the growing number of local communities trying to address the issue that has Congress tied in political knots.

“Look, had Congress done their job we wouldn’t have this [ordinance] in Green Bay,” Mayor Jim Schmitt said Friday. “I think at this time it’s the right thing to do, given what’s not happening at the federal level.”

The new law, set to take effect Saturday, comes amid similar local efforts around the country, including Waukegan, Ill., where the City Council on Monday authorized giving the chief of police permission to apply to Washington for authority to enforce federal immigration laws.

Former 18th Street gang member Hector “Weasel” Marroquin for years was celebrated and rewarded for having turned his life around.

He founded the anti-gang organization NO GUNS and received hundreds of thousands of dollars from the city for his efforts to help steer Latino youths away from a life of crime. His champions included former state Sen. Tom Hayden.

But his arrest this week on charges of selling firearms to federal undercover officers underscored concerns long held by people familiar with Marroquin’s background that he had not left his criminal life behind.

“I never for a moment believed that he ever left the life,” said Connie Rice, a civil rights attorney and former member of the Los Angeles Police Commission who noted that she saw Marroquin at meetings of anti-gang agencies. “I always thought he was using the system.”

Marroquin, 51, was arrested Thursday at his Downey home on charges of selling several guns, including a machine gun, two silencers and two rifles, to undercover officers. He bailed out of Los Angeles County jail Thursday night and could not be reached for comment.

His lawyer, Patrick Smith, did not return phone calls Friday.

Khallid Muhammad continued to give violent speeches until his death in 2001. Over six hundred people attended the speech, many having to stand outside and listen over loudspeakers.

Dr. Khallid Muhammad was a former Nation of Islam minister and National Youth Coordinator, and chairman of the New Black Panther Party at the time of his death. Between 1991 and 1993 he even served as Louis Farrakhan’s personal assistant. In 1993, Muhammed was censured by the United States congress.

He was publically supported by Rev. Al Sharpton, US Rep. Keith Ellison, US Rep. Cynthia McKinney, and a multitude of other black politicians and celebrities. Khallid at one time received money from the Ford Foundation, which funds a number of radical far-left causes.

Perhaps you, like me, found an irony in the story about under-achieving white working-class boys being published while the nation was still mourning the late Bernard Manning.

The Sage of Ancoats, who was a white working-class boy, managed by a certain sort of genius to find fame, fortune and a gold Rolls-Royce. Such a route out of poverty is open to few with his disadvantages in life, as the new Joseph Rowntree report reminds us.

Manning was vilified in his life, and even in some of his obituaries, for the universal curse of “racism”. I never met him, but I sense he was neither a stupid nor a wicked man. Indeed, he seems to have been smart enough to realise the hypocrisy of the fact that, to many in society, racism was quite an acceptable practice, provided its victims were white.

That to me seemed to be one of the roots of his humour, rather than his having an instinctive dislike of foreigners simply on account of the fact that they were not like him.

And it is such racism - often white-on-white, as part of our national fetish for self-hatred - that causes boys of 16 to leave school barely literate or numerate, and equipped only for a life of drudgery, unemployment or crime.

Attempts to define race through science haven’t had an entirely positive press subsequent to the collapse of the Third Reich, but the Weird Science Department of the UK Government could well be skittering on that very patch of thin ice. Lord Triesman, the Prime minister’s Special Envoy for Returns, this week said that work on the “scientific and technical identification of nationality” will be “an important tool” to be used for the return of illegal immigrants to their countries of origin.

Triesman, a Foreign Office Minister, was given the Special Envoy for Returns role earlier this year. Part of the job involves persuading foreign governments to accept illegal immigrants the UK wants to send back, but the question of “identification of nationality” arises from a related aspect of the job - how do you identify and redocument an undocumented alien who won’t tell you where they came from, or who’s telling you lies about where they came from? It’s a messy job, and frankly we’re not convinced there’s a whole lot of point in anybody doing it.

Aspects of the UK immigration service machine are already, as it were, measuring head size. Some attempt has been made to apply data on size and age, and x-rays and dental records, to estimate the age of asylum seekers’ children. These efforts have not however been hugely successful, and nailing down nationality/race is a entirely different

Saddam Hussein wisely recognized that the only way he could hold Iraq together was through a credible threat of ruthless power, applied to anyone speaking about internecine strife, or perhaps daring to criticize the government. Now that we have liberated Iraq and gotten rid of Saddam, that fractured nation is on the edge of a seemingly inevitable civil war, involving as many as a half-dozen different “armies.”
That is terrible! Thank God it couldn’t happen here - or could it? Surely you can recall some of the many violent riots in which black mobs stormed through city streets, burning and looting because of some irrationally perceived, racial injustice. Those incidents were eventually controlled because the rioters were relatively small in number, their aims were unclear, and they weren’t well organized, in spite of repeated attempts by dangerously radical leaders to form them into effective, powerful revolutionary fighting forces.

What if there now is forming what may become a significant insurrectionist, revolutionary army? What if that army of millions hate Norte Americanos and has, as an objective, the return of several of our southwestern states to Mexico?

That “army” may already be here. Several authoritative estimates place the number of illegal Mexicans in the U.S. at from 15 to 35 million. Judging by what I’ve heard and read while traveling across the southern states, many of them share a popular belief that: “Mexico’s poverty is a result of your having captured some of our richest lands, such as states of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. If you hadn’t taken them by force, there would be no need for us to cross a border to your country, while seeking work.”

A radical Hispanic group is promoting a boycott of the Walt Disney Company because, contends the Mexica Movement, the entertainment giant “has made a habit of hiring talk show hosts who spread the Minutemen white supremacist racist agenda.”

The boycott announcement specifically cites radio legend and Presidential Medal of Freedom winner Paul Harvey, as well as popular talker Doug McIntyre. Both Harvey and McIntyre are nationally syndicated by ABC, which is owned by Disney.

McIntyre was instrumental in exposing a taxpayer-funded Los Angeles school backed by radical groups that lay claim to the Southwestern U.S. As WND reported, the principal of the Academia Semillas del Pueblo Charter School, Marcos Aguilar, has said he believes in racial segregation and sees his school as part of a larger cultural “struggle.”

Among the school’s supporters are the National Council of La Raza Charter School Development Initiative; Raza Development Fund, Inc.; and the Pasadena City College chapter of MeCHA, or Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan.

There are thousands of charities promoting the interests of various ethnic groups in the UK. A quick browse through the register of the Charity Commission for England and Wales reveals an astonishing 109 charities advancing the Indian community, 152 specifically for the Chinese community including Blackpool Chinese Community Association, Chinese Mental Health Association, Leeds Chinese Christian Church, Swansea Chinese School. There are 184 charities looking after the Somali community, 309 specifically for Muslims and over 500 charities listed for the African and Caribbean communities: African Aids Care, African Women’s Support Group, Gateshead African Community Association, Nigerian Leadership Initiative, Tameside African Refugee Association. A further 75 are listed promoting the interests of “black” or “ethnic” minorities.

Some of these ethno and racial specific charities receive sponsorship from government agencies and big businesses.

While there are charities which advance the interests of native Welsh, Irish and Scots both in England and the respective home nations, until recently there has not been a single charity to advance the interests of the ethnic English.

With the official launch of the Steadfast Trust there is for the first time a charity which aims to promote the welfare and wellbeing of the ethnic English community.
Initial areas of interest are -
• an English cultural festival;
• projects for English working-class youths;
• promotion of English culture and identity in schools.

The Steadfast Trust aims to bring to the attention of public bodies and other organisations the needs and interests of the English community and to seek appropriate policies and funding.

Johannesburg - One million white South Africans - almost a fifth - have left the country in the past ten years.

This figure was released last week in a report from the South African Institute of Race Relations (SAIRR).

Frans Cronjé, who compiled the report, said it was especially crime and affirmative action which had driven a fifth of South Africa’s white population out of the country.

He did an analysis of Statistics South Africa’s Household Surveys between 1995 and 2005, emigration figures and other reliable estimates on population numbers.

Cronjé said the results left himself and his colleagues dumbfounded.

“When we drew the graphs we saw that almost a whole generation of white South Africans are not here anymore.”

According to the press and liberals, greedy corporations and their friends in Washington, specifically rich white capitalist Republicans, are the driving force behind Senate efforts to legalize illegal immigration through S.1348 – the Senate Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2007.

We know for certain that at least one rich white “compassionate conservative” is behind the anti-American Amnesty Agenda - President Bush. But who else is driving this agenda?

S.1348 was sponsored by new Senate Majority leader Harry Reid, (D-NV). The bill has four co-sponsors, Kennedy (D-MA), Leahy (D-VT), Menendez (D-NJ) and Salazar (D-CO). No rich white capitalist Republicans so far… Let’s keep looking.

Senate Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) took the bill directly to the Senate floor in an attempt to bypass any amendment process offered by the Republican minority and ramrod the Amnesty bill through the Senate without bi-partisan review or compromise of any kind.

Despite overwhelming dissent from the electorate, Reid (D-NV) attempted to invoke cloture, bringing the bill to an up or down floor vote. His effort to move the legislation forward failed with 34 YEAs and 61 NAYs.
