White children living in mixed-race communities feel as marginalised and uncertain of their British identity as ethnic minorities, a controversial government report has found.

A review of citizenship lessons in schools by Sir Keith Ajegbo, a Home Office adviser, concludes that white children are suffering “labelling and discrimination” that is severely compromising their idea of being British.

His review will suggest that while most people assume issues about diversity or “cultural and community cohesion” centred on the black or Asian communities, just as much thought and resources need to be put into providing diversity education to white pupils.

White pupils in areas where the ethnic composition is mixed can often suffer labelling and discrimination, Sir Keith will say. “They can feel beleaguered and marginalised, finding their own identities under threat as much as minority ethnic children might not have theirs recognised.

“It makes no sense in our report to focus on minority ethnic pupils without trying to address and understand the issues for white pupils. It is these white pupils whose attitudes are overwhelmingly important in creating community cohesion. Nor is there any advantage in creating confidence in minority ethnic pupils if it leaves white pupils feeling disenfranchised and resentful.”

STATE Opposition Leader Peter Debnam drew applause when he told new Australian citizens that their newly found status did not mean they could recreate their old countries on Australian soil.

Speaking at Sutherland Entertainment Centre for Australia Day celebrations, Mr Debnam was earlier warned not to touch on politically sensitive issues such as multiculturalism in his Australia Day speech.

But the NSW Liberal leader bit back at Sutherland council, who tried to impose the ban, saying it was political correctness gone mad.

“The apologists for political correctness equate importation of nationalist and religious rivalries with the timeless values of centuries old cultures,” Mr Debnam said.

“Australians are fed up with seeing the problems of other nations played out on our own streets, on our sporting venues, on our beaches, and even in our schools.

“Becoming an Australian citizen does not give you the right to a patch of land where you simply recreate your old country in the new, separated from the rest of the community,” he said.

His speech was interrupted by applause several times from the crowd, making him the only politician of the day to strike a chord with the crowd who came to hear a mix of six pollies from Federal, State and local parliaments discussing what it means to be Australian on Australia Day.

A British professor has released a map which plots out his dubious claims that some races are naturally smarter than others. The so-called “IQ Map of the World” created by professor Richard Lynn of Ulster University shows the varying intelligence levels of races around the world according to his controversial research.

In his 2006 book “Race Differences in Intelligence: An Evolutionary Analysis”, Lynn divided the world into 10 zones and analyzed their average IQs. His results found that East Asians (Chinese, Japanese and Koreans) have the highest mean IQ at 105. These are followed by the Europeans (99). Below these are the Inuit (91), South East Asians and native American Indians (87), Pacific Islanders (85), South Asians and North Africans (84). Well below these come the sub-Saharan Africans (67) followed by the Australian Aborigines (62). The least intelligent races, Lynn claims, are the Bushmen of the Kalahari desert together with the Pygmies of the Congo rain forests (54).

The scholar has published several books on race differences and sex differences in intelligence. He says his latest work is based on extensive data including 620 kinds of test results published all over the world. That data, Lynn claims, shows that race and average winter temperature are related to IQ, meaning races which must deal with cold winters have developed higher intelligence for survival.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer today badly botches its coverage of a report by the Seattle Police Office of Professional Accountablity on “use of force” complaints from 2003 through 2005. Nearly half of the complaints are from blacks or other minorities, giving new Seattle NAACP president James Bible a platform to allege racial bias. Heinously, there’s no mention of how many complaints were actually sustained, or specifically how often police use force, according to the report. Yet that’s mere clicks away.

Page 12 shows that in ‘03, only 6% of 99 actual “use of force” complaints were sustained; versus %13 of 79 UOF complaints in ‘04 and 7% of 90 UOF complaints in ‘05. Nor does the P-I mention that according to the OPA report (p. 8), the use of force rate is less than two-tenths of one percent in each of three years, relative to total police contacts with the public; and just 3.05 % for arrests.

In the larger context, then, Seattle Police use force on an exceedingly infrequent basis, and the vast majority of the few complaints that result are not sustained. Yet based on a poorly-researched and slanted story, the P-I headline blares, “Racial Pattern In Police Abuse Claims,” when it ought to read, “Excessive Force Complaints Few, And Mostly Unsustained.” The lack of a link to the report, something now commonly done by newspapers at the end of stories based on government or advocacy group reports, also leaves a bad smell. Seeing how clearly the report shows the shoddiness of the story, perhaps it is no surprise, though.

The real law enforcement problems in Seattle, as FBI data show, are high property crime rates and police shortstaffing, versus other cities of population 250,000 and greater.

It has been especially difficult to recruit new officers in Seattle.

Anyone wonder why?

THE British National Party says it is considering setting up patrols in Wroughton and manning the school gates in the wake of the attack on Henry Webster.

But Det Sgt Mark Wilkinson, of Swindon CID, has called on all sections of the community to work together to make sure nothing like the violent outbreak happens again.

Speaking after it was revealed that white and Muslim extremist groups have tried to hijack the incident for their own ends Det Sgt Wilkinson called for calm.

It is also believed police are confident of making further arrests this week.

Det Sgt Wilkinson said: “My investigating team and I are obviously working flat out to get the result to satisfy the victim’s family and Wiltshire Police. I anticipate some significant further developments will take place in the forthcoming weeks.

“However, we are still appealing to those in the community who can assist us in this investigation to come forward.”

ATLANTA - A potentially explosive dispute in the City Too Busy to Hate is taking shape over a proposal to break Fulton County in two and split off Atlanta’s predominantly white, affluent suburbs to the north from some of the metropolitan area’s poorest, black neighborhoods.

Legislation that would allow the suburbs to form their own county, to be called Milton County, was introduced by members of the Georgia Legislature’s Republican majority earlier this month.

Supporters say it is a quest for more responsive government in a county with a population greater than that of six states. Opponents say the measure is racially motivated and will pit white against black, rich against poor.

“If it gets to the floor, there will be blood on the walls,” warned state Sen. Vincent Fort, an Atlanta Democrat and member of the Legislative Black Caucus who bitterly opposes the plan. Fort added: “As much as you would like to think it’s not racial, it’s difficult to draw any other conclusion.”

The legislation calls for amending the Georgia Constitution to allow the return of Milton County, which succumbed to financial troubles during the Depression and was folded into Fulton County in 1932.

The former Milton County is now mostly white and Republican and one of the most affluent areas in the nation. Atlanta and its southern suburbs are mostly black, are controlled by Democrats and have neighborhoods with some of the highest poverty rates in America. (Buckhead, a fashionable Atlanta neighborhood of clubs, restaurants and mansions, would remain in Fulton County.)

Prime Minister John Howard used yesterday’s reshuffle to excise the word from Immigration and Multicultural Affairs.

The department will now be known as the Department of Immigration and Citizenship in one of Mr Howard’s more powerful gestures about the way we now view arrivals.

The PM denied his decision to dump the term was an attack on the concept.

He said he believed “citizenship” adequately reflected the desires of the Australian people about the path of a newly arrived immigrant.

“I don’t think the term (multiculturalism) is defunct,” he said.

“I think the desired progression is for an immigrant to become an Australian. Simple as that.”

The culture of the age that we live in is founded on a lie: racial egalitarianism. It is an article of faith in the West that all racial differences in abilities and personality stem from environmental, rather than biological, factors.

This dogma has been conventional wisdom among the Western elites since 1950, when the United Nations published its “Statement on Race,” which declared: “[T]here is no proof that the groups of mankind differ in their intelligence or temperament. The scientific evidence indicates that the range of mental capacities in all ethnic groups is the same…. [G]enetic differences are not of importance in determining the social and cultural differences between different groups of Homo sapiens.”

In succeeding years this belief has entrenched itself. A 2003 documentary on PBS, entitled Race: The Power of an Illusion, expressed a view that is more or less entirely unchallenged today in the media and most of the academy: race is a myth constructed by whites to justify colonialism and slavery. The documentary urged viewers to take an environmentalist view of racial differences:

Try a paradigm shift. Every time the mind gropes toward the seemingly evident—that, say, black people are better at sports, or Asians at math and music—deconstruct it. Look for the social reasons, the economic reasons, the cultural reasons why these stereotypes only seem to hold true.

Gangs from Southern California and Mexico have moved into Colorado, recruiting members in virtually every corner of the state and trafficking in drugs and guns on a scale that would astonish most of the state’s residents, top law enforcement officials said.

The gangs are more sophisticated and more violent than the “homegrown” street gangs that have operated here for decades, officials said.

And for many of those gangs, business has been good.

Federal agents are seizing hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash from suspected gang members every few days, said Troy Eid, the U.S. attorney for Colorado. One recent seizure topped $1 million.

“Colorado has been targeted . . . as a lucrative market,” Eid said. “It’s quite clear gang activity is serious and on the rise.”

POLICE had to stop a race riot at a club where Jade Goody’s eviction from the Celebrity Big Brother House was being shown on TV.

Dozens of Indians and whites clashed over the racist bullying of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. Bottles and chairs were thrown at Club Tamingo in Kingsbury, North West London.

Trouble had flared after one Indian used a PA system to taunt “white trash” clubbers. He had also shouted: “This is for Shilpa Shetty. It’s whites against Asians.”

A woman suffered a suspected broken arm and Colin Abrey, 59, landlord of the next door pub, suffered cuts to his ear after he had a chair smashed over his head. He said: “It’s a miracle no one was killed.”
